I get married next weekend to my ADD fiance. I dont think we would have made it this far without help from his doctor, and the drug Strattera ( amoxetine). I urge all of you here not to ignore the ADD or hope that you can manage it on your own or self medicate with street drugs, but to seek professional help and work the program.

The ADD runs strong in my husband's family, and so far one of our children is diagnosed as well (we'll see what happens when the younger one hits the school system next year). It's a challenge, and medication, as well as a certain amount of self-modification of behaviour, helps---but it also makes them fascinating, fun, spontaneous people to be around.
